Animal Crossing 3DS has been given a release date at the Nintendo Direct press event which is currently taking place. The upcoming game is slated for a November 8 release in Japan, with an international release sometime early next year.
Players will start off Animal Crossing 3DS (also known as Animal Crossing: Jump Out) in a tent rather than a house, which they can later expand and upgrade as they spend time in the game accumulating wealth and unlocking content by performing a plethora of tasks for the town's inhabitants.
As with previous games, players can fully customize their character's appearance and furnish their living space. Features that were previously exclusive to the Nintendo Gamecube version of Animal Crossing, such as lamp posts and benches, will be making a comeback in the latest version of the game.
The game will make full use of the Nintendo 3DS stereoscopic 3D effects to give the world a sense of depth that previous titles in the series have lacked.
