Sony has been releasing strategy videos for each of the upcoming All-Stars in their Battle Royale title, and this time the focus has shifted to PaRappa the Rapper. This rapping dog was an original PlayStation all-star, and has found a place in the annals of video game history, becoming a quick favorite in the new brawler's lineup.
PaRappa is a short-range character, actually the shortest in the whole title, but his close-quarter combat can deal out some heavy damage if you let him sidle up to you. In the video, Battle Royale's Game Director, Omar Kendall, goes over PaRappa's move set and his various level specials, and we get to know the precocious pup a little more.
It is a little strange to see some depth added to the paper-thin dog I've come to know so well, but his moves and catch phrases strike a major nostalgic chord within me. I'm sold on PaRappa and will play him into the ground just like I did with Kirby.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released on October 23, 2012 for the PlayStation 3.
