THQ has put together a brand new trailer for its upcoming game, Darksiders 2, which is set for release this month.
The trailer concerns Death, the protagonist of the game, and provides us with an in-depth introduction of Death, the deadliest of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Death is a reaper of souls, an ender of worlds, and a slayer of kings.
Death sets out on a journey to avenge his brother, War, and take on the Powers That Be. His brother War stands falsely accused of unleashing armageddon upon the human race, and it's up to Death to make things right.
This gameplay trailer shows off much of the combat that players will be able to engage in with the game proper.
Darksiders 2 will be out for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 14. It'll be out later for the Wii U.
