Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has a bunch of secret weapons that have many players scratching their heads. The reason? No one knows why they’re in there—they certainly weren’t part of the original release way back in the day.
These items are unavailable for use, but the assets appear to be completely textured and animated. Players who datamined the game discovered at least ten of these weapons, including a shovel. Some of them are not fully textured, but they have proper animations and even sounds associated to them.
It’s unclear as to why these weapons are in the files, but users who looked into it speculate that they may have been intended for use in the game’s multiplayer mode but scrapped for reasons unknown.
It is entirely possible that these weapons will make their way into the game as free DLC later. In any case, you can check them out below.
