Battlefield 4 is real and likely to be the victim of several boycott attempts when it finally gets around to release. Despite the fact that people are unhappy with the state of Battlefield 3, DICE now seem to be shifting their focus onto the future of the series and EA community manager Ian Tornay has taken to Reddit to clarify exactly what they're hoping to do with the next entry in the franchise.
"We’ve been seeing a lot of concerns about the pacing of release (i.e. “only” two years after BF3). I think it’s worth noting that DICE has released a Battlefield game every two years or sooner AND Mirror’s Edge at least every two years. I truly believe that we’re in one of the best positions to be creating our next title – Frostbite 2 has matured, we’ve been gathering fan feedback like crazy, Battlefield 3 continues to expand with features which we can learn from, and we’ve got more data about how people play than ever."
He also said that there will be multiple ways of getting into the beta, but that buying a copy of the next Medal of Honor will be the only guaranteed way.
