September 27, 2016 by Nick Monroe

The LEGO folks are making an animated series of shorts based on the Jurassic Park universe.

Everyone loves LEGO games, it’s hard to deny the appeal of them on the level of care-free fun they try to provide people. One of the many outlets that LEGO has used as a backdrop for their adventures is Jurassic World, and this October an animated series of shorts is ready to combine these two fantastic things once more.

Simon Masrani destroys one of the main attractions in the park, and Claire’s dino-DNA building creates an Indominus Rex that loves eating hot dogs. But his hunger turns out to be insatisble, and that leads the beast to escape from his cage. It’ll take dinosaur trainer Owen Grady to save the day, but this extremely intelligent dinosaur turns out to create a battle of wits. The five part series will commence on October 3rd, and run on a regular basis through the 7th. They’ll be available to watch on the LEGO and Jurassic World YouTube channels, and the full 24 minute animated short (plus an exclusive 8-minute bonus short) will be a part of the Jurassic World DVD bundle.

To learn more about the shorts, check out their website.
