Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance Special Edition Detailed

June 22, 2012 by Mat Growcott

We won’t be getting the beautiful Kingdom Hearts 3DS, it would seem, but there ARE some nice things in the box.

While I'm sure most people wanted the opportunity to buy that rather nice limited edition console released in Japan back in March, the US special edition of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance could be much worse. Better yet, the price is rather fair, apparently set at $54.99 and is available to order now from Amazon.

The Mark of Mastery set includes a copy of the game, 5 AR Cards with which to unlock a variety of items (including "rare Dream Eaters"), 12 art cards from throughout the series' history (probably mainly box art) and a Kingdom Hearts branded case. Not too shabby considering that you're only paying an extra $15, especially when you think how expensive decent cases can be.

I've not seen any mention of an EU release anywhere, but I think it's fair to think we'll get something similar to this, although probably at a much, much higher price.
