If you know of StarCraft: Ghost, you also know of the crippling disappointment that goes along with its indefinite delay. Blizzard was interested in putting gamers right in the heart of the battle, and also opening up console gamers to the StarCraft experience, but about a decade ago, the project was delayed.
Wondering why this has been brought up again? Well, the intended protagonist, Nova, showed her pretty face in StarCraft II and she will also be in the first expansion, Heart of the Swarm. By keeping her character alive, Blizzard is also keeping the dream alive for Ghost hopefuls.
In an interview with Kotaku about whether Blizzard will ever resurrect StarCraft: Ghost, Dustin Browder said, "I'm not saying we won't ever, but I'll tell you what I do know: There are no meetings going on. There is no team. No one talks about doing it."
"It doesn't mean that in two years from now, we won't have those meetings, the team won't be formed, but there is literally nothing happening around that game right now that would indicate that there's any likelihood that it will happen," Browder continued. "It's just as likely we'll do that again as Lost Vikings 3 or whatever. There's just no guarantees one way or the other, but nothing is happening."
So essentially, never say never, but don't hold your breath.
