Atlus Debuts Persona 4: Golden Opening

May 24, 2012 by Ron Taylor

Persona 4 gets a proper announcement trailer.

Japan doesn't have much longer to wait on the PlayStation Vita port of Atlus' revered Persona 4 (dubbed "Persona 4: Golden" for this release) and North American fans won't be waiting too much longer after that. Persona 4 was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2008. This will be the series' first outing on Sony's new handheld.

The original title received good reviews from fans and critics alike, and turned the series into a cult sensation.

Today, Atlus released the game's opening cinematic. It's got a cheery sitcom feel (likely to play up the television motif) and the great visuals and music Atlus is know for at this point. The last thirty seconds or so are pretty psychedelic, I must say.

Persona 4: Golden hits Japan in July and the US this fall. It's going to be a good year.
