Renoir is a noir-like 2D puzzle platformer developed by Black Wing Foundation, which just got a publishing deal with the people over at 1C. They’ve uploaded a trailer taking you inside this upside down world that’ll be coming our way in a few months.
The secret twist with this game? You’re a ghost detective solving your own murder. James Renoir was an up and coming cop that made his name taking on the mafia’s corruption, but he eventually let his guard down… and WHAP! Our protagonist met his end. That’s the set-up for this story. Now James has to retrace his own steps in order to crack his own case. As a ghost, he can’t walk into the light. To get around this, our ghost friend has to rely on Phantoms if he wants to make it past the obstacles in his path. The game is made in Unreal Engine 4, which is a solid platform that could give the title that nice polish by the time it comes out.
Renoir is set for a November 2016 release on PC. To learn more about the game, check out the website, Twitter, and Facebook.
