Sony has confirmed, in an exciting announcement, that its upcoming PlayStation Meeting event in NYC will be livestreamed. More detail about where you can watch the broadcast will be shared in the coming weeks, a Sony rep told Polygon.
The PlayStation Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, beginning at 12 PM PT/ 3 PM ET. It will take place at the PlayStation Theater (formerly known as the Best Buy Theater) in NYC’s iconic Times Square.
Sony sent out invitations to media outlets this week. There was no mention of what will be shown off or discussed, but there are high hopes that the PlayStation 4 Neo console will be unveiled and demystified further.
There have been reports that Neo could be released before the end of the year. Neo, according to Sony, is meant to “sit alongside and complement the standard PS4”. Both PS4 and Neo will play the same games. Sony also appears to be working on a slimmed down PS4 in addition to Neo.
