God of War: Ascension has been leaked ahead of schedule thanks to Amazon.com. The retailer put up a placeholder page for the game, which was supposed to be announed tomorrow at a Sony press event.
In addition to the sales page, Amazon also released two videos—one of which contains full CGI depicting an enchained Kratos as a female narrator speaks to his origins prior to becoming a murderous God, also known as the Ghost of Sparta. You can watch the video below.
Interestingly enough, the game doesn't come tacked with a Roman numeral at the back, leading us to speculate that the game is in fact an origin story, or a prequel to the main God of War trilogy. Either way, it looks interesting and we can't wait to find out more about what it has to offer.
God of War: Ascension is billed a PlayStation 3 title. No release date has been announced.
