A modder who made a seemingly ‘impossible port’ has finally been stopped, by Rockstar Games.
As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Mojso, who claims to be lead for Paralympics Productions, used GTA V’s leaked source code to port it to the Nintendo Switch.
Mojso shared a statement after being contacted by Rockstar Games:
Paralympics Productions is shutting down on October 3rd. Thank you everyone who supported us through tough times and lengthy development.
I am sorry for not fulfilling your expectations and leaving you high and dry. I am thankful for Take Two’s mercy, so this is the definitive end.
Prior to this, Mojso was planning to distribute his Switch port of GTA V, and he and Paralympics Productions was working on porting GTA Online too.
We will owe up to the novelty of GTA V coming to the Switch at all, but Take-Two will have to win fans over after the disappointment of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. We also can’t ignore the long running unproven rumors that GTA 6 is slated to the Switch 2.
