Ubisoft may still be bringing their Assassin’s Creed games to Switch 2 after all.
A few months ago, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is not coming to Nintendo’s platform, in the game’s official FAQ. This was unusual because Ubisoft is known to have been one of Nintendo’s most loyal third party publisher.
As reported by GoNintendo, a new job listing at Ubisoft Montreal is looking for:
Hands-on experience shipping games on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch 2.
This is for a job listing for rendering systems for Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Now, we will note that Assassin’s Creed Hexe hasn’t been officially revealed, so they also have not announced platforms.
Ubisoft also has Rayman Legends Untold coming to Nintendo’s platform, but Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced skipping it still suggests that the French publisher was no longer that committed.
But as we have seen multiple AAA games are rushing to the Switch 2, we know that any developer can deal with the potential technical issues to port their games over. Maybe the last Assassin’s Creed is just an exception.
