Hideo Kojima has shared a much needed update on his horror project with XBOX, OD-KNOCK.

He appeared at the end of XBOX’s Tokyo Game Show presentation, where he said this:
Development of OD is progressing smoothly.
Performance capture and ADR recording, which had been paused during the SAG strike, resumed this year, and production is proceeding on schedule.
Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and the team have delivered intense and outstanding performances, which
OD is a completely new kind of game that tests the thresholds of fear. Through constant experimentation and iteration, the project is steadily taking shape.
We look forward to sharing more information later down the line.
Kojima Productions announced OD all the way back in 2023. Hideo Kojima previously admitted he isn’t sure if this idea for a horror project is going to work, but he credits XBOX’s last CEO, Phil Spencer, in believing in it over other publishers.
That statement was months ago, but is clearly prescient now with everything we’ve learned. Between OD and PHYSINT, Kojima clearly has ambitious visions, and Asha Sharma has decided to double down on Phil’s huge gamble.
