We have some encouraging news for Killzone fans about the future.

As reported by MP1st, Guerrilla Games is working on a new Killzone game now. Specifically, it will be a remaster or a remake of a classic game in the series.
Interestingly, Guerrilla is working with a non-PlayStation studio to make it. This is interesting because of last month’s rumor that Guerrilla is reworking Horizon Hunters Gathering so that it will no longer be a live service game.
MP1st’s sources claim that because of this decision, most of Guerrilla is working on Horizon Hunters Gathering. But the idea is they will then focus on this Killzone game next, as opposed to making the 3rd numbered Horizon game. We would point out that their development partner is probably just a specialist in remakes, such as Virtuos.
Lest everyone forget, Guerrilla Games said two years ago that they were done with Killzone. While a remake isn’t necessarily a full reversal of that choice, this was probably not their first decision.
