Netflix has shared how GTA 6: An Extended Look worked out for them.

In a first-of-its kind premiere on Netflix, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look topped the English film list with 31.1M views and hit No. 1 in 87 of the 93 countries tracked globally.
A few weeks ago we reported on Millie A’s claim that Netflix did not pay to broadcast A 6: An Extended Look. Rockstar confirmed in an interview that they wanted to go to Netflix, and it wasn’t the other way around.
Outside of the video game world, Netflix is the top streaming platform, but it actually has an ongoing problem with retaining viewers for their original shows. Netflix could have chosen to reject Take-Two’s offer, but they may have seen the obvious upside to hosting the debut.
Take-Two and Rockstar are now hopeful that those 31 million views include lapsed gamers who may be looking into buying a new video game console for the first time in years.
