An interesting note has come up from Sony’s latest earnings report.

As Stephen Totilo pointed out in the latest Game File report, Sony noted one factor that lowered their operating income forecast for FY2026.
They actually increased their prediction by 10 % to ¥ 660 billion. But they mention this as a negative:
Impact of adjustments to the FY26 first-party title roadmap
Totilo pointed out that this could mean games or expansions scheduled for FY2026 have been either delayed or cancelled.
Sony has two AAA titles scheduled for FY2026. Marvel’s Wolverine is locked in for September 15, 2026, while God of Way Laufey is tentatively dated for February 2027.
As opposed to the Roman calendar year 2026, FY2026 ends on March 31, 2027. So unless Sony has an unannounced project that was cancelled or delayed, God of Way Laufey could be extending beyond March 2027.
There is a possibility that Sony’s note is referring to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, or other Sony games, but those other titles don’t have release dates yet. On our end, we reported on rumors that it will come in the first half of 2027, but not beyond 2028.
