The Disney Afternoon Collection Appears In eShop For Switch and Switch 2, Adding Two More Games

January 29, 2026 by Ryan Parreno

We may get the official announcement for this title soon.

UPDATE: Atari has confirmed The Disney Afternoon Collection for Switch and Switch 2, and the details we covered below. The collection releases on February 26 and also gets a physical release on Switch and Switch 2, both complete on Game Card. It is now available to pre-order.

The original article follows below.

The Disney Afternoon Collection seems set to be announced for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, the game has appeared in the Japanese eShop, for both platforms. It has not been listed for the eShop in the US or other regions so far.

Two weeks ago, the ESRB published a rating for the game collection. This is a distinctly different and new rating from the one for its original release in PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The eShop listing also reveals that it has added two games to the collection. Both were also licensed from Disney to Capcom.

Bonkers was released in 1994 on the SNES. You play officer Bonkers D. Bobcat, a deputized cartoon cat who once had a Disney channel show. His game is a 2D platformer with levels based on different Hollywood film sets.

Goof Troop was released in 1993, also on the SNES. You control both Goofy and his son Max, in a Zelda-inspired action game co-designed by Shinji Mikami.

We have a suspicion this title will be announced in a Nintendo Direct next week.
