Today Focus Home Interactive takes us into the universe of Space Run Galaxy. The game is a sequel to Space Run, taking place 20 years after the original game.
In the year 2525, Captain Buck Mann’s job was to transport cargo across the galaxy. But in 2545, he now manages his own space-faring courier service. As a member of Mann’s team of delivery people, the same intense stakes still linger out in the deep void. Space pirates lurk around every corner, and they’ve come prepared to liberate you of your goods.
It’s partially a strategy game, but with a bit of Tower Defense gameplay mechanics as well. There are 50 different zones across four solar systems for you to check out. Different corporations have attached risks with their jobs that you should consider beforehand. For example, XenoPrime’s cargo is fragile, but The Force’s goods include dangerous weapon prototypes. Space Run Galaxy has you build up spaceships and customize them with different weapons, shields, and other tools. There’s an online universe that allows you to give and take jobs with other players for rewards. There’s also an online market where you can trade goods with people too.
Space Run Galaxy is slated to release sometime at the end of June this year. Check it out on Steam if you’re interested, and tune in to their Facebook and Website for all the latest news about the game.
