Fallout TV Show Will Have An Impact On Fallout 5 Says Todd Howard

What will that mean for the next journey into the wasteland?

Fallout fans might have all huddled around their TVs last night to catch the premiere of season 2’s live-action adaptation. We’ve gone a long time before we started to see some actual decent adaptations come out for video games. But lately, that’s changed with some big hits coming from video games, both old and new. One of those big hits that came out was Fallout. The live-action series was picked up and released on Amazon Prime Video, with that first season a hit. The unfortunate part is that fans are still waiting for Fallout 5 to finally make an appearance.

With so much hype and anticipation over Fallout’s season two, you might have thought Bethesda would have prepared something to give fans video game-wise. While there are updates and support still going on for Fallout 76, the next mainline chapter is nowhere in sight. That’s extremely frustrating for some fans, as we already know Bethesda is set to focus on The Elder Scrolls 6 before we get another Fallout.

Todd Howard Brings Up Fallout 5

There are some press and media events starting to pop up now that the second season of Fallout has debuted. One of the voices to help get fans and newcomers to the series excited about the show is Bethesda’s Todd Howard. While you won’t expect him to say much of anything about Fallout 5, the game was brought up in a conversation with the BBC publication.

During the conversation, it was asked whether we’ll see some impact from the Fallout TV show with the next major installment. According to Todd, there will be. Fallout 5 is said to take place in a world where the show’s stories and events happened or are happening. After all, Fallout’s TV adaptation is canon, so who knows who or what we’ll be running into that ties back to Lucy and her friends in this wild journey in the wasteland.

We are taking that into account.

While we might be waiting a long time to get our hands on Fallout 5, we shouldn’t be waiting anywhere near as long to see the next season of the show. It’s already been noted that the series creator wants to get the ball rolling on the next season soon, so the series won’t be off television for too long. Of course, by then, we might see a new surge of players hitting the games again, as not even Todd Howard was prepared for how popular the show would become.
