Let’s talk about online multiplayer. In many ways, this is one of the greatest achievements that gaming has ever created, as it allows gamers from all over the world to connect with one another and play with or against one another in various capacities. There are whole games and franchises that are built upon this technology, and that includes titles like GTA Online, where one of the major gameplay elements is to join with other players to do things like races or even heists. However, if you’re working with random people instead of your friends, things can get wild pretty quickly.
Over on Reddit, some gamers decided to put “randoms” on blast by highlighting some of the dumbest things that they’ve done during heists. The stories themselves are pretty crazy:
“Walk out of the prison as the guard during the Prison Break and essentially acted as if they forgot they were part of a heist and acted like they were in freemode.”
“ I remember people didn’t know they just have to jump with the bike and using parachute (because they don’t read) and didn’t know what to do. I had people literally taking a detour to walk down to the boat.”
“Prison break: trying to steal the plane in grape seed, except the rando who is in charge of actually flying it away doesn’t know how to turn the plane on the ground, so instead they exit the hanger and run it straight into a tree, and refuse to read your DMs explaining how to do it.”
“It wasn’t a random, it was a friend, but during a Cayo Perico Heist he got nervous because another friend was pointing at him with his finger, and for some reason he shot a guard right in front of a camera.”
Good help is so hard to find these days, and the stories go on from there. Some even noted that the stories they told happened against multiple “randoms!” The tales of death that were caused by these randoms, or to those randoms, were just as wild, and it makes you wonder why certain people are gamers in the first place.
So, will such stupidity ever cease? Not likely. After all, there are people in the world who truly don’t “get it,” and with the freedom of GTA Online, things only get wilder because they have the freedom to do just about anything they want. Keep the stories coming, people!
