GTA 6 Fans Once Again Attempt To Predict “Timeframe” For What Comes Next

December 4, 2025 by Todd Black

Plenty of time to bonder such things, we guess…

With the newest delay for GTA 6, things are looking even more depressing to those who really hoped to play the game within six months. Obviously, that didn’t happen, and it’s affected the fanbase in numerous ways. Some are trying to make things a bit lighthearted by “predicting when the 7th entry will drop,” and others are taking a more depressing bid by wondering if the game can even hope to live up to the expectations that many are putting upon it. Some, though, are taking the path of “logic” and attempting to figure out what Rockstar Games will do in 2026 in the lead-up to launch.

Or, to bare bones it, some people on Reddit decided to “map out” the “release timeline” for the game. For example, in their breakdown, they have the third trailer for the game, which many hoped would drop in November before the delay happened, happening between May and July. We appreciate giving them a wide berth there.

Then, shortly after the trailer drops, they feel that Rockstar Games will open up pre-orders, which does make sense, as the third trailer will likely be seen as the thing that “locks down” the November release date. Alongside those two events, in the Redditor’s mind, will be the official box art reveal for GTA 6, further adding to the hype.

Then, from September to October, Rockstar will drop multiple gameplay trailers to further highlight what’s going on in the game and what you can expect from it as you play. Finally, as November hits, we’d get the launch trailer, and then, barring another issue, the game would finally release.

Many were surprisingly “on board” with this breakdown, with many calling it “realistic.” Others, though, hoped that we’d get info a little sooner:

“it’s pretty understandable but i hope we don’t get radio silence until may. even a small announcement or proof of life will do.”

That’s a fair thing to ask for, especially since there are plenty of doubts about the game and whether it will adhere to the November 2026 release date.

“Yes, hopefully it doesnt get delayed anymore.”

“They’ll announce it’ll be delayed again by May 2026 and say it’s released date will be Spring of 2027.”

“I hope this will be true. Don’t want to see another delay.”

The fears of the fanbase are truly valid, and that’s what makes the wait even harder for them. After all, we had a long wait previously…and we all know how that turned out…
