GTA 6 Fans Are Already Memeing The Latest Game “Leak”

You missed a spot, Jason!

So, as you’ve undoubtedly heard by now, there has been a “new development” in the GTA 6 saga that has started off December with a “bang.” Specifically, a “leak” has come forth, causing the internet to dive into it and see what is really going on here. However, as we noted earlier, the leak isn’t really a “leak,” and it’s more of an accidental release of animation footage, very basic footage at that, that someone put in a demo reel. So, it’s not exactly revealing in any meaningful way, and as a result, it doesn’t really help with giving players “insight” into what will happen in the game.

However, over on the GTA 6 Reddit, gamers are happily taking the opportunity to meme the situation, including stating that Rockstar Games will soon delay the game because of this new “leak.” Some noted:

“Rockstar is going to delay the game 1 month for every leak that’s released.”

Someone followed that up by joking that it’d actually be SIX MONTHS…for every leak. No doubt a callout of the most recent delay that pushed the game’s release date from May 2026 to November 2026.

Others took the opportunity to poke fun at both Rockstar Games and the game’s main character, Jason, by posting images of Jason “fixing leaks” in the studio, much like he “fixed a leak” at the start of the second trailer:

“Seriously dude, he’s got some time on his hands, I’ve got some properties with paying tenants.”

Gamers are “paying tenants” by definition, but we’ll let that go.

Some pushed the leak joke into different directions:

“Ugh easy to have little leaks when the roof is been worked on for over a decade.”

That’s actually a fair thing to note, as it’s been stated by those within Rockstar that not everyone is “aware” of what’s going on during game development. Rockstar Games has so many people across multiple branches that communication isn’t as tight as you might expect.

One of the ironies of the thread is that many people hadn’t heard about the “leak” yet, so others were taking time to explain that it “wasn’t anything major,” and that it actually wasn’t really a leak. Not to mention, the demo reel in question was posted months ago, and no one caught it until now, so that put a further damper on things.

However, we should look at this “meme session” as a positive thing, as gamers are putting a good spin on an ever-growing and ever-delaying situation.
