Borderlands 4 is finally here. The wait is over, and hopefully, you are already diving into this game and seeking out precious loot. It came at a great time, as we’re entering the weekend, and I imagine many vault hunters will be logging into the game. Of course, if you’re interested in sitting through some Borderlands 4 content, you could earn yourself a couple of free legendary weapons.
Twitch drops are incredibly common these days. Developers will give you a reason to sit in on some marketing or general gameplay footage for their upcoming titles. One of the latest is Borderlands 4, as there’s already been some Twitch crossovers for this game. I’m sure some of you managed to acquire an exclusive ECHO-4 skin through Twitch already. However, you can now add a couple of legendary weapons into the mix.
Borderlands 4 Twitch Drops
To help celebrate the launch of their latest game, Gearbox Software has a couple of weapons that you can acquire through Twitch drops. This was unveiled on their official Borderlands 4 blog, where it’s noted that there are two particular weapons available. You have the Forsaken Chaos Legendary shotgun and the Midnight Defiance Legendary sniper rifle. Both weapons can be acquired by viewing the partnered creators through the Borderlands 4 category on Twitch for two hours. That’s not a total either. So you’ll need to set aside four hours to get both weapons.
It’s noted that both weapons will be scaled to your Vault Hunter when claimed. Of course, you will need to be at least level five to use these weapons. If you have a linked SHiFT account for Twitch, you’ll find the weapons under the Twitch Drops inventory page. Fortunately, you’ll have time to get these weapons as they will be available until September 30 to claim. That’s not all, either.
As mentioned, there was the exclusive ECHO-4 drone skin that you could acquire from Twitch. That’s being brought back. To get this skin, simply spend twenty minutes watching a livestream on either the official Borderlands 4 Twitch channel or the Gearbox Twitch channel.
Again, Borderlands 4 is now officially available to pick up and enjoy today. The game launched today for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Meanwhile, those of you on the Nintendo Switch 2 will find the game coming your way on October 3, 2025.
