The world-renowned developer, Hideo Kojima, has just seen his latest game ship into the marketplace. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was another successful title for the developer, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to press on with the next installment. Instead, Hideo is looking to make some room for his other projects. As a result, a Death Stranding 3 would have to be developed by someone else.
It’s not too surprising that Hideo is keen on developing some other games. After back-to-back projects based on his Death Stranding IP, we’re sure he’s looking to stretch a bit and focus on some other games. We already know of two titles that are being developed under Kojima Productions.
Death Stranding 3 Has A Concept

Thanks to Genki JPN on X, we’re finding out that Hideo Kojima was interviewed at PlayStation Arabia. During the conversation, the topic came up about a potential sequel to Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Hideo noted that he doesn’t have any plans to develop a Death Stranding 3 right now. Instead, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was a conclusion title for the first and second titles of the franchise.
With that said, Hideo did note that he had already written out a concept piece for a Death Stranding 3. It’s just that someone else would have to create it for him. We don’t have any confirmation that a Death Stranding 3 is actually entering development, or who would be leading the game project, at the moment.
However, as mentioned, there are some other game projects in the works at Kojima Productions. We know that Hideo is working with Xbox to bring out a title called OD, which we know very little about. Likewise, there is a new espionage title that Hideo is working on for Sony called Physint. We know even less about that game right now. However, perhaps marketing will start to ramp up on one of these games now that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach has officially released.
