Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Officially Revealed

July 22, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Expect a brutal horror experience authentic to the IP.

There’s been some chatter online that a Hellraiser game was in the works over at Saber Interactive. Thankfully, speculation can come to an end as Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival has been officially announced. As you can expect from a Hellraiser game, it’s a brutal experience that the developers are aiming for.

If you’re a fan of the classic horror franchise, this game might already be a day one purchase for you. For those who have yet even to dabble their toes into this franchise, it’s not for the faint of heart. The trailer showcased today, which you can view in the red band trailer here, shows that the developers are not holding back.

Everything We Know So Far About Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival

This game was just unveiled, so don’t expect a lot of information right now. With that said, some details were revealed on the Xbox Wire. Nenad Tomic, who is the executive producer on Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, answered some generic questions fans might have.

To start, players will receive a single-player, first-person horror game. Enter this game for a story-driven horror experience. As for what we know so far about the story, we are stepping into the role of Aidan. When his girlfriend, Sunny, is taken to the Labyrinth, Aidan must use the Genesis Configuration to attempt to save her.

This storyline and mythos should remain faithful to the franchise, as it has also been revealed that filmmaker Clive Barker is assisting the team. So, every little aspect, from the visuals to the lore, characters, and story motifs, was crafted with the help of Hellraiser’s creator.

That said, don’t expect this game to take place in a specific area of the film’s timeline. Instead, we know that the first two Hellraiser movies inspired the game, but the plot is not connected to the films. Instead, this is a brand new storyline set within the Hellraiser universe.

Unfortunately, one of the big questions some of you might have is when we’ll get our hands on Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, and that has been left unanswered. Currently, all we know is that Saber Interactive will have more to share later this year and that the game is supposedly closer than some of us might assume. Meanwhile, we know that the game is slated to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
