Silent Hill fans have been waiting for Konami to bring this IP back around. After Team Silent was disbanded, the franchise had more misses than hits. However, it wasn’t long ago now that Konami finally unveiled that they were bringing Silent Hill back into the limelight. We’ve since received a remake of Silent Hill 2. Now, it looks like we might be gearing up to receive Silent Hill 2 DLC.
When Bloober Team released Silent Hill 2, it was a massive hit. Fans, both newcomers and veterans from the original release, seemed to have enjoyed this remake. Developers strived to not only stay true to the original game but make some slight expansions to keep things fresh. Of course, one element that fans quickly found to be missing from this game was the Born From A Wish scenario.
While this side piece of content was not included in the original release of the game, it was added by Team Silent later on. So when this extra bit of storyline content was not featured in the remake, most fans assumed that it might come out in the form of DLC. Well, thanks to Dusk Golem, we’re finding out that this is still something in the works.
Dusk Golem, an industry insider, has messaged on X, alerting followers that he believes there is a very high chance that the Born From A Wish DLC will be announced soon. We are, of course, expecting a State of Play tonight, so perhaps we’ll see this as one of the big announcements during the event.
There wasn’t much more stated by the insider. Instead, they only noted that they believe it will be announced soon. They also noted that they were aware of the Bloober Team working on the DLC before the Silent Hill 2 remake was released. So, for now, we’ll have to wait if we get the Silent Hill 2 DLC announcement tonight or perhaps during Friday’s Summer Game Fest event.
