Apparently Indiana Jones and The Great Circle could be getting announced for the Switch 2 soon.

As you read this, we’re days away from not only the launch of the Switch 2, this June 5, but also the Xbox Games Showcase, a few days later on June 8. We already know what games Nintendo is launching the Switch 2 with, but Microsoft is holding onto their secrets for the Showcase a few days longer.
In fact, Microsoft hasn’t shared what they intend to reveal at the event at all. But we do know that it will be immediately followed by a Direct Event dedicated to The Outer Worlds 2. One thing we do know is that this will be the first Xbox Games Showcase where Microsoft will announce their games arriving on rival platforms, mainly the PlayStation and Switch consoles.
Rumors that Microsoft is planning to become a big publisher on the Nintendo Switch have been going on for some time now. At the start of this year, we reported on Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, AKA PH Brazil, claiming that they actually have the largest list of games planned for the Switch 2 out of any 3rd party.
This April, Nash Weedle went further, naming 8 games planned for the console:
DOOM The Dark Ages
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Ninja Gaiden 4
Psychonauts 2
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Age of Empires: Definitive Edition
Call of Duty 6
This takes us to today, where content creator Dtre81 quoted his tweet all the way back in January 2024 about Indiana Jones and The Great Circle being playable on the Switch 2. Today, he simply added a winking emoji.
For all that it’s worth, it’s no surprise at all that Microsoft would be planning huge support for the Switch 2. They already confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is a launch title for the console.
Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer is known to be a fan of Nintendo, and to have had good relations with the company for years. This connection allowed for collaborations, such as the rerelease of GoldenEye 64, and for Banjo-Kazooie to officially join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
But on top of that, we have seen Microsoft take the crucial step of going forward with releasing their biggest games on the PlayStation 5. In what seems unthinkable, both Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War: Reloaded have been confirmed for Sony’s console.
That move was good for Microsoft Gaming’s studios, if it may not necessarily be good for their console business. But if Microsoft is a serious third party publisher, they are definitely not playing favorites between Sony and Nintendo.
The real question here is will Microsoft announce Indiana Jones and The Great Circle next? And maybe there’s good reason to believe that. The game launched in December 2024, and received a PlayStation 5 port last April. If the apparently timed exclusivity period is over, Microsoft will definitely want their AAA top tier franchise video game come to the biggest platform launch of 2025.
If there’s any reason that this port could be delayed any longer, it would be that MachineGames and Bethesda were still busy making the port. If Dtre81’s information is correct, it didn’t take them that long at all.
And, for all we know, Nash Weedle’s and PH Brazil’s rumors are also correct, and they’re only waiting for after the Switch 2 launch to show all their cards. What’s really crazy about all these rumors is that it’ll only take a few more days before we find out.
