We can’t wait to get our hands on the next GTA franchise installment, Grand Theft Auto VI. Likewise, we know we’re far from the only ones waiting to see what Rockstar Games brings out. However, we can officially label this game as coming out one year from now. So, let the real countdown begin as we wait to step into a modern take on Vice City.
As you know, Rockstar Games initially attempted to launch this game within 2025. When the announcement trailer was released at the end of 2023, it confirmed that the launch window for Grand Theft Auto VI was 2025. However, that’s not going to happen, as Rockstar Games recently confirmed that the game was pushed back to next year.
Fortunately, that news came with an official release date attached. Players would get GTA 6 on May 26, 2026. That allowed fans to start the countdown as one X user made note online of its launch countdown. However, we’re now at the point where this is just a year away, and hopefully, as we steadily head towards that launch date, the Rockstar Games marketing team is gearing up to release new details.
Unfortunately, we only have two trailers right now. The first is the initial announcement trailer with a 2025 launch window. However, the second came not long after the delay announcement. Likewise, Rockstar Games also released some character bio details. So, not only did we get more of a look at the game, but we also got some small breakdowns of the characters we’ll be interacting with in the game narrative. We even have a report of one actor who might have voiced one of these characters featured in the latest trailer.
Hopefully, the delay makes for a more solid gameplay experience when it does release. In a previous report from this month, one leaker noted a real need to delay the game. According to their statement, it seemed that Rockstar Games was making far too many cuts to the game to make its intended launch for this year.
