When Sandfall Interactive first got together and started their debut project, they likely never expected it to be as big of a hit. I’m sure the hope was to find some success to help keep the studio on its feet and persevere to its next project. However, they released a game that was so massively popular that it left them with a huge community actively waiting to see what they offer next. One of those next big moves from the studio could see the release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on the Nintendo Switch 2.
There’s no shortage of fans pouring countless hours into Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The game was a surprise hit, despite some showcases that happened to help hype up its release. But hype spiraled out of control once the game finally dropped and fans could experience this masterfully crafted story out for themselves.
Thanks to Nintendo Everything, we’re discovering that Guillaume Broche, the CEO of Sandfall Interactive, was interviewed on Mistermv. During the interview the topic of a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game came up.
Guillaume admitted that the success of the game has changed everything at this point. A lot of opportunities are showing up, and the studio is trying to figure out where they will go next. However, he does note that a Switch 2 is definitely something that could be interesting. So, hopefully, players who have yet to experience this game and are planning to purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 will have a means to enjoy Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Of course, we also recently reported on an interview featuring the narrative lead of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. During that interview, it was noted that the focus has been on clearing out bugs from the game. But then there are some DLC directions the studio could take for fans who want to spend a little more time in this world.
