FBC: Firebreak is one of the current projects in the works right now by the folks over at Remedy Entertainment. With their success with Control, the studio is expanding on this IP. We already know a sequel is coming out, but there’s also a multiplayer game. With FBC: Firebreak, we’re getting a spinoff from Control and Remedy Entertainment’s first attempt at a multiplayer gameplay experience.
With FBC: Firebreak, players are thrown back into Oldest House, which is set after the events of the Control game. Players will step into the role of a team that is tasked with taking out hostile enemies from the Hiss. It’s aimed to be a game you can easily jump in and spend as much or as little time within your sessions. That’s likely more than welcomed for gamers who are also short on time.
Recently, Remedy Entertainment dropped a new trailer. It’s a small snippet of gameplay footage that once again showcases some of the challenges you’ll get tossed your way. As we learned earlier this year, players will get to determine before playing how long and difficult of a job they wish to take on, with up to three players joining in a session.
You can view the latest trailer below, but more importantly, there’s a date to mark down on your calendars. Unfortunately, the game has not been released yet. However, Remedy Entertainment did post online that there is a livestream set to take place on April 24, 2025.
This stream will take place at 1 PM EDT, where we’ll get a little more news from the development team and a closer look at a job called Paper Chase. Paper Chase has been one of the jobs used to highlight the gameplay so far. Perhaps we’ll finally get a full cut of the mission from start to finish.
While we wait for the release date to be officially announced, we know that Remedy Entertainment is looking to release FBC: Firebreak sometime this year for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
