Dune: Awakening Finally Has Its Release Date Unveiled

Dune: Awakening is a survival game we’ve been interested in checking out. The developers at Funcom have slowly been chipping away at this title, and today, they decided to reveal when players can expect this game. If you want to try this title out, mark it on your calendars. The upcoming Dune game will officially land in the marketplace on May 20, 2025.

The game will throw you into Arrakis, where you must survive this dangerous world. Players will get to explore this stunning place, gather resources, build shelters, and attempt to reshape this world. However, if you’re familiar with the IP, you know it won’t be easy to tame. As a result, it’s best to join a group if you want an easier time getting some stable footing.

While we finally have a release date for the game, we also have confirmation of the price point. Thanks to the VGC, we’re learning that this game will cost $49.99. Unfortunately, we’re not getting a free-to-play experience, as we learned earlier this year.

Despite the fact that we have a few months before we can dive into this game, there is some content readily available for you to enjoy. Developers from Funcom released a Character Creator tool that you can download. This will allow you to start shaping your character for when the game officially drops. Meanwhile, this tool also comes with a Benchmark Mode.

With the Benchmark Mode, you can tweak the game settings to see how it would perform on your PC. Again, the game drops on May 20, 2025, but that’s only for the PC platform. Console platforms will be announced later on, although it seems developers will have a tough time optimizing the game for the Xbox Series S platform.
