Pokemon Legends Arceus Drops OST On Nintendo Music

January 28, 2025 by Todd Black

Hisui awaits your return…

We’ve been doing our best to cover every update that Nintendo Music has gotten, as The Big N has been doing a great job in creating a massive playlist of tracks across all walks of its IPs, ensuring that gamers of all ages have something fun to listen to. It’s truly been impressive seeing the weekly drops and wondering what game will be next on the block. Late yesterday, Nintendo decided to drop the OST for Pokemon Legends Arceus, which is appropriate, as the game just celebrated its 3rd anniversary just the day before that. Who says Nintendo doesn’t have a sense of timing?

The announcement and then release of Pokemon Legends Arceus was significant in various ways. First, it was the only true mainline title in the franchise to focus on Arceus, who had been relegated to certain cameos in other titles and trade transfers during special promotions with stores like Toys ‘R Us. Second, this was a spinoff entry that dared to make some serious changes to the gameplay loop of the main franchise, and most loved what they did here. Third, it was the first entry to truly take a semi-open-world approach to things, which opened up the world and its Pokemon in all-new ways.

That’s what led to the arrival of Gen 9 later in 2022, which went fully open world. The game was such a success that it sold over 15 million units. That’s pretty impressive for a spinoff title. So, if you loved the game as much as those who played it did, you’ll want to get its soundtrack on Nintendo Music to listen to the wonders of Hisui again.

The other reason to bring up this title is to discuss its follow-up: Pokemon Legends Z-A. This title will be set in the Kalos region, and will feature the “redevelopment” of Lumiose City while also being tied to the legendary Pokemon Zygarde. It was during Pokemon Day last year that the game was announced, but we haven’t gotten any updates from The Pokemon Company about the title since.

Sure, there were the leaks that happened last year, but we can’t take those fully seriously, especially since the company could’ve altered the game based on those leaks. Many are currently assuming that at the next Pokemon Presents, which should be a month away, we’ll finally get new information, especially about its content and release date.

We’ll find out soon if that’s true.
