Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Get’s It’s First Update

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle has been available for players with early access for a few days. It has generally received very favourable reviews. Despite that fact, Bethesda already has an update ready for the game and they’ve shared their patch notes. 

As Turbostrider27 shared on Reddit, Update 1 went live on December 8th. This update brings several graphical, gameplay, and Ui fixes. The release notes shared by Bethesda go into great detail breaking them down. A few highlights are: 

New features

  • Ray tracing for NVIDIA video cards, but a minimum of 12GB of VRAM is required. AMD FSR is coming soon. 

General 

  • Fixed a crash that occasionally occurred when saving the game. 
  • Fixed the delay between inspecting photographs and the photograph appearing from the journal. 

Gameplay

  • Fixed several issues that affected your ability to interact with objects or block attacks when items were around or in the field of view. 
  • Occasionally the whip would detach when swinging and this issue has also been rectified. 
  • On firing a shot Indy’s first shot from a temporary gun would be silent. This has also been rectified. 
  • Various other enemy and animation issues have been rectified. 

UI 

  • Issues related to Quick equip items being incorrectly displayed have been fixed.
  • Intermittent text flicker during the credits has also been corrected.
  • The map location titles could overlap the photo opportunity names, which has also been fixed. 

Graphics

  • Various graphical bugs relating to Indy and to objects he’s holding have been fixed. 
  • Indy’s whip now behaves more naturally when connected to his belt. 

Missions and Quests

  • Issues that would interfere with quests, or stop characters from appearing or interacting with Indy have been rectified. 
  • Issues related to Indy interacting with objects have been fixed. 

PC Specific fixes

  • Improved performance on large levels when an 8GB VRAM video card is used. 
  • Using Alt+tab could cause inventory issues, which has been fixed. 
  • Intermittently black squares could appear if renderscale was used with AMD video cards, this has been fixed.
