Another Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Patch Is Coming Next Week

November 29, 2024 by Andrew McKay

There should be nothing but smooth skies from here on out.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been on a bumpy first voyage since its first release. Flight Simulator 2024 came out on November 19th and promised big things! However the release of Microsoft’s biggest and longest running game was marred by login errors, visual glitches and crashes. Microsoft has been good about releasing fixes as quickly as possible though.

As first reported by VGC, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has has a rough start. At launch many users were unable to login to their accounts and start playing the game. Those who did managed to log in then had to contend with visual glitches and crashes when the games started loading. Microsoft was quick to release a fix, apparently the overwhelming popularity of the game lead to overloaded servers. Something that Microsoft had foreseen and tried to prepare for with various load tests. However, it wasn’t enough. A fix was in the works and arrived quickly enough.

Then some players reported visual issues, glitches, missing inventory items and crashes. Microsoft released another patch addressing the new issues and has promised a third in the coming weeks to further improve stability. Until that time Microsoft has disabled MSFS2020 which is non-aircraft content for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The upcoming December 9th patch will allow users to toggle various content in order to help with boot times, crashes and any other related issues.
