I played a lot of Homefront free in the OnLive playpack and it wasn't awful. It didn't have the instant playability of a Call of Duty, nor the dedicated strategy of a Battlefield, but it was by no means terrible. I can't be the only one who thought that because, for all the griping I've seen on the internet, it was always a very popular game.
Flash forward 4 or 5 months and THQ have alerted retailers to the release of a special edition of the game, containing both the base experience itself and all of its DLC. You'll be able to pick up the Homefront: Ultimate Edition from March 23rd on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – no PC version of the game has been announced.
The pack will contain the Fire Sale map pack, the Rock map pack and Express 970 shotgun and, while there's no word on price just yet, you can probably expect it to be around the $40-50 mark.
