Multiversus Teases Season 3 Characters In New “PSA”

September 11, 2024 by Todd Black

You ready, ladies?

Have you been playing Multiversus since it returned earlier this year? If so, you have been seeing what Player First Games has been up to since it went into hiatus last year. If you recall, the free-to-play fighting game was something that came out of nowhere, made a big splash, and then vanished after taking a lot of people’s money via microtransactions. Yeah, people weren’t exactly happy about that, especially since they were given special access to things, and then the whole thing basically shut down! However, it’s back now, and it has a “PSA” for you to watch and enjoy.

Specifically, this “PSA” is all about the “joy” that Multiversusbrings to its players and highlights the stages, modes, and characters that you can partake in and play with. It even pokes fun at the villainous characters that were part of its second season of rebirth. The big highlight, though, is that the PSA dropped a couple of big teases as to who is coming in Season 3 of the game.

To the shock of many, Nubia from DC Comics is coming. You can tell it’s her by both her figure and the spear that she wields. In the comics, Nubia is one of the sisters of Wonder Woman from Themyscira. She’s constantly been shown fighting the good fight and even became the queen of Paradise Island after Hippolyta and Wonder Woman were “gone.” She’s still making waves in DC Comics right now, so that’s likely why they decided to bring her into the game.

Then, there’s the Powerpuff Girls, the iconic trio of characters from the golden age of Cartoon Network. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were created by accident by their “father” during a science experiment. However, his accident gave rise to “three perfect little girls” who would go on to save the city of Townsville many times over. Their arrival has been teased since The Joker was confirmed for the fighting game, so it’s nice to see them getting the official nod.

That’s not all, though. Some eagle-eyed fans claim that there are even more characters teased in the trailer, including Raven from the Teen Titans and the Wicked Witch of the West from Oz! Those will add to the “ladies’ night” theme of the season, no doubt!

As if that wasn’t enough, there will be a new gameplay trailer for the title coming out tomorrow! That means we likely won’t have to wait long until we see one of the new DLC characters coming into the mix.
