Ezio isn't going to star in this next game, but that shouldn't stop any of us from wanting to play the next Assassin's Creed. Touted (though not officially) as Assassin's Creed III, the game has been confirmed for release on October 30 in an investor call today.
Few details are known about the game at the moment, and all that is known is that Ubisoft will be retiring Ezio d'Auditore to feature a brand new protagonist for Desmond to relive the memories of. Those who've played Revelations to the end speculate that the next game will take place sometime during the American Revolution, although nothing is certain.
Assassin's Creed III was previously speculated for release this year in an earlier report—which unfortunately could not be verified, until now.
