Fortnite Welcomes The Wasteland, Fallout and More In New Chapter!

May 24, 2024 by Todd Black

Fortnite…Fortnite never changes…

We knew it’s been coming for a long time, but at last, Fortnite has brought its players to the wasteland, and that means there are plenty of new things to do! As teased previously, the game would use the “Wrecked” storyline within Chapter 5, Season 3 of the game to bring in the Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor from the Fallout franchise into the mix. The armor is incredibly popular right now due to the incredible series Amazon Prime Video that came out recently. But if you think that’s all this season has to offer, Epic Games has some things to tell you on its blog:

“Ah, the wasteland… the possibilities seem as vast as the grains of sand. So vast that the “Wasteland Warriors” don’t want to give up control. This band of marauders brings a whole new meaning to scrappy crew — each one is an automobile expert who’ll tread on any rebellion. In Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked, get in the driver’s seat and bring the Nitro to these vehicular villains!”

As you can see in the trailer above, the island has been heavily transformed because of the sandstorm and the Wasteland Warriors. That means you’ll get to see things from a new perspective as you try to clean up the place and don some new gear to help take the Raiders out. Whether you do that with just your character or you trick out a vehicle so that you can match the warrior’s speed, you’ll have quite the journey ahead of you.

Also, as the trailer shows, there are numerous new cosmetics to get, including the aforementioned power armor from the Brotherhood of Steel. You’ll have to unlock this armor, along with others, via the Battle Pass, but once you do, you’ll look intimidating on the battlefield. There’s even some Nuka-Cola for you to drink to get some health and shields back!

You might have noticed a certain mutant is in the game, too. Magneto is making his debut in the Epic Games title, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. After all, why not use the “Master of Magnetism” to take out people who are driving around in metal cars?

Just as important, Magneto fans have been fed quite a bit due to an epic animated series! This adds to the meal in a fun way.

You can take part in the wasteland madness right now. So jump in and see how much havoc you can cause!
