Have you enjoyed running around shooting aimlessly at Demons in the DOOM Open Beta? Are you yet to jump in to join the hurricane of chaos? Well, it’s your lucky day, because hell has just opened its doors.

“You asked for it!” stated Bethesda when they announced on Twitter today that the DOOM Open Beta will be extended until 11:59 ET on April 18. The Beta initially began on April 15 and was set to end on April 17.

Since it’s release the Beta has been met with mixed feedback, the majority of which is notably negative. Some users on Steam even go as far to label the gameplay as “stale” and “uninspired“. Whereas another Steam user says it feels like you’re playing as “Master Chief with a squirtgun on a shopping cart”.

The DOOM Open Beta includes the following content from the full game:

  • Maps: Heatwave, Infernal
  • Game Modes: Team Deathmatch (6v6) and Warpath
  • Demon: Revenant
  • Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Lightning Gun, Plasma Rifle, Static Rifle and a Heavy Assault Rifle. The Beta also includes Frag and Siphon Grenades and Personal Teleporters.
