EA has just published the first teaser trailer for Remedy Entertainment’s shooter Titanfall 2 and confirmed that the game is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The original Titanfall launched for PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
EA also confirmed that the first gameplay trailer for the futuristic title will be revealed to the world on Sunday, June 12th – presumably during the company’s E3 press conference.
If you’d like to learn more about the game, you can sign up on Titanfall’s official website with your email address, date of birth, and country to receive details first.
“People like you always want to be the hero, the problem with being a hero is you have to be willing to die for what you believe in,” a voiceover during the teaser says. “If I were you, I wouldn’t try so hard. You’ll live longer.”
We see a crashed pod in a jungle environment and a mech approaching it armed with a blade before the footage cuts off and the game’s title appears on-screen.
Titanfall launched in March 2014 and reports surfaced as early as June of that year that its sequel would come to PlayStation 4. Respawn founder Vince Zampella confirmed in March 2015 that the sequel would be a multi-platform title.
Respawn also has a smaller second team working on a third person action adventure title. The developer hired Stig Asmussen, who directed God of War 3 at Sony Santa Monica Studios. He is believed to be overseeing this other project but there are no details on when we can expect to learn more about it.
