Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Impressions Will Go Live On September 15

September 13, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Media content creators were given access to the game.

Insomniac Games is working through its next major release, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Fans highly anticipate the video game, and we know that next month, we’ll finally get to websling our way through New York City again. However, we will get some new details regarding the game and its mechanics this week. The development studio had recently posted on their official X account that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was shown off to select members of the press and content creators.

Those lucky enough to be invited were given a chance to sit down and play some of the game. Fortunately, the gameplay experience that those invited to enjoy won’t be kept under wraps for very long. Insomniac Games has confirmed that impressions will be released on September 15, 2023, at 8 AM PT. That should open the floodgates of what exactly content creators and media critics were able to witness and enjoy during their time with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We’re also expecting plenty of media content to be released, whether that’s screenshots or gameplay footage. However, it’s not stated specifically in the post from Insomniac Games what content would be unveiled to the public.

We invited press and content creators to check out Marvel's Spider-Man 2 at preview events in Los Angeles and London this week! Our spaces were webbed up in #SpiderMan2PS5 themes from the game!

Stay tuned for impressions at 8AM PT on September 15!#BeGreaterTogether pic.twitter.com/BDhT3lUyjN

With the upcoming Spider-Man game coming out next month, it wouldn’t be surprising if September 15, 2023, also saw something official from Insomniac Games. Marketing is starting to ramp up as Sony and the development studio attempt to appeal the game to as many potential players as possible. Likewise, there are rumors of a PlayStation State of Play coming this month, which could further open up the doors to even more marketing materials for the game. But that’s just a rumor right now, as we have to wait until the official word is released to confirm the State of Play is inbound.

If you haven’t been keeping tabs on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we know that the game is set to take place after the events of both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This new installment will feature Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they continue navigating the hardships of a personal life while being New York City’s savior when new villains attempt to wreak havoc. In this upcoming installment, we know that we’ll deal with Sergei Kravinoff along with the extraterrestrial Venom symbiote. Players interested in trying this game out will want to mark their calendars for its release on October 20, 2023, when it launches exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
