Star Wars Jedi: Survivor New Game Plus Mode Confirmed

April 27, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Players will get to start over once they reach the credits.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearly upon us. We just have until tomorrow before we’re able to start a brand new action-adventure journey with our Jedi Knight Cal. For most games, a New Game Plus mode is typically added into the mix. Unfortunately, oftentimes this mode gets released after launch, which means when players reach the credits, they are left waiting. Fortunately, that won’t be the case for Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Instead, you’ll get to dive right into the New Game Plus.

This confirmation comes from a recent tweet by the EA Star Wars Twitter account. It’s essentially another means to keep enjoying the game even after you finish the campaign. But if you’re unfamiliar with the New Game Plus mode, we can offer some insight. This game mode won’t drastically change the game campaign, so it’s not like you’re getting a different journey when you restart the game. But there are some benefits added into the mix that might make going through the campaign worth your while.

Typically, in New Game Plus mode, players are going through the campaign journey all over again. The difference here is that you’re carrying over all the items, abilities, and unlocks you have acquired from the initial campaign playthrough. In our case, Cal should be quite a bit buffed up from the start of the game when you go through a replay. However, that’s not all for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Respawn Entertainment will add a couple of additional perks to the mix, which will help change the game up just a little.

The three perks that will be available for players include Purity which adds weapon damage to both friends and foes. Our second perk will be Warrior, which will replace standard enemies with more difficult ones. Lastly, the third perk available is Trendsetter which will randomize your cosmetics on death.

Again, you’ll need to complete the campaign before New Game Plus mode is available to go through. Meanwhile, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to launch on April 28, 2023. When the game launches tomorrow, you’ll find it available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
