One week ago today, a grassroots campaign to bring Dark Souls to the PC kicked off among fans of From Software's notoriously brutal action RPG, culminating in a petition that's garnered tens of thousands of signitures.
Now Shoupinou, the Namco Bandai employee who first got the ball rolling, says the higher ups at the company have taken notice of this groundswell of interest.
"I honestly wasn't expecting such a massive support," he said in a post on Namco Bandai's European forums. "My boss(es) even came to talk to me about this, after it explodes all around the world. If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it.
"The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this."
At the time of writing, the petition sits at nearly 70,000 signatures. There's still no guarantee that the game will ever make it to PC, but it's safe to say that the odds have improved considerably over the last few weeks.
