At the end of November we took a quick look at the amazing numbers Skyrim was achieving on Steam, hooking in over 163,000 players at one point. It's still one of the most talked about games in blogosphere, on Reddit, on Twitter and anywhere else where gamers congregate. So how is it doing?
It's not bringing in 163,000 players any more, but it's still topping the leader board of games played; the likes of Call of Duty, Team Fortress and Civilization – all real time sinks – don't stand a chance. Even now, the only games coming close are Football Manager 2012 and, of course, Counter-Strike, which has probably been on this list since the day Steam came out.
Skyrim came out on November 11th and I think it safely proves that the single player adventure is far from dead.
