Starfield Release Date Announcement Is Coming Very Soon

January 19, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Bethesda will be revealing the release date shortly.

Xbox players are eagerly anticipating the release of Starfield. The video game has become a massive appeal in the past few years since Bethesda first announced this new IP. However, not long after the announcement of Starfield came the acquisition from Microsoft. Now that Bethesda is under Xbox’s umbrella, we’ll find that these upcoming games from them will be exclusive to Xbox platforms along with the PC. Regardless, there is still quite a massive audience out there waiting for Bethesda to release this game.

What we’re waiting on right now is for the development studio to reveal when the game will launch. After being delayed out of 2022, there wasn’t a specific date attached to Starfield. Instead, all fans were given the release window of 2023. More specifically, it was unveiled that the game would launch during the first half of 2023. Last week, Microsoft revealed that they were going to bring out a new developer-focused stream. This stream would highlight a few games coming out into the marketplace that was exclusive to Xbox. But it was also stated during the same announcement that fans wouldn’t see Starfield.

Instead, Starfield would be a game that would have its own dedicated stream showcase. That event was currently being planned out, and there wasn’t a date attached quite yet. Although, details for the stream will likely come shortly after their upcoming event. Today, it looks like this stream may hold the announcement date for the title. That’s thanks to a recent post from a Bethesda social media account. Fans have noticed that Bethesda’s Latin America Instagram account stated the company would be announcing the release date very soon. Likewise, they noted that they are preparing a special event for the game.

So with both Microsoft and Bethesda currently planning the event, we’re hopeful a stream date will be unveiled sooner rather than later. Right now, the focus from Microsoft is getting the upcoming developer stream taken care of. From there, we’ll likely get more details on when we can tune in for more information on Starfield. In the meantime, you can check out the game trailer for Starfield in the video embedded above. When the game does release, you’ll find it available for PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Of course, being that this game is an Xbox exclusive, you’ll also find Starfield will release on the Xbox Game Pass.
