Torn Banner Studios, the Toronto-based independent studio behind Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has been quietly working on a new competitive online FPS based around magic. The game is titled Mirage: Arcane Warfare, and like Chivalry before it, allows players to go online and kill enemies—this time with the use of powerful spells instead of swords and bows.
Today, the studio released a short teaser trailer that introduces Mirage’s fast-paced combat gameplay and some of the bloody armaments that are set to be the hallmark of the game. The trailer also introduces some of the playable characters, the landscapes in which players will do battle, and the magical spells that players will use to reign death and destruction upon each other, all rendered through Unreal Engine 4.
Torn Banner will be preparing a full announcement of the game with more concrete details about Mirage: Arcane Warfare in the coming days.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the trailer below.
