Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Solar Raid Receives Brand New CGI Trailer. Full Reveal Incoming

November 18, 2022 by Jordan Biazzo

A new operator inbound!

Ubisoft is back at it again with yet another operation for Rainbow Six Siege fans. This time around players will be introduced to our latest operator — Solis. Thanks to the brand-new teaser trailer, fans of the tactical shooter get their first look at Solis. The 30 second clip gives players a good idea on how the operator plays, but with the full reveal still a couple of days away, we won’t know the full details.

However, Ubisoft did not that Solis will be an intel specialist, she will be joining Ghosteyes to operate from the shadows. Rainbow Six Siege has plenty of great characters to choose from, all brining their unique abilities to the table. The community has been loving the effort Ubisoft has been pushing for the game and it seems like they are still going strong on the game. The full reveal for Solis is set for November 21, where we will learn more about her playstyle, special abilities, and everything else in between.

Ubisoft recently detailed that the fanbase for Rainbow has grown quite large since its initial release a couple of years back. During a briefing, the team revealed that Rainbow Six Siege had crossed 85 million unique players. That doesn’t mean that the game has sold 85 million copies, but rather that over 85 million people have played it. There have been free weekends by which players could try out the content for themselves and see if they liked it. Plus, there were ways to get it without directly purchasing it, like with Xbox Game Pass, a service many people have enjoyed.

Despite those free periods and other options, getting 85 million people to play the game is quite a feat. But the accomplishment didn’t end there. During this recent period, the game reached record numbers of in-game spending. The game has been out for seven years, yet people still spend money within it and in large amounts. That’s impressive. Specifically, the game’s revenue was up 18% over the previous year. Ubisoft really managed to strike gold with Six Siege and it seems that the developers don’t plan on stopping the fun anytime soon. Make sure to check out the full article discussing the staggering 85 million Rainbow Six Siege players right here!

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, and PC. Are you still playing the famed shooter? Let us know in the comments below!
