Star Ocean: The Divine Force Gets Final Mission Report Trailer

October 24, 2022 by Carley Garcia

Theo Klemrath and J.J. are the last major party members to be introduced.

Fans of the Star Ocean series only have three more days to wait until Star Ocean: The Divine Force is released. Ahead of the promised release date of October 27, Square Enix and developer Tri-Ace have revealed the final Star Ocean: The Divine Force Mission Report introducing two new main characters. Fans now have their first look at J.J and Theo Klemrath, both of whom will be powerful additions to the player’s crew.

Theo Klemrath is a knight of the Kingdom of Aucerius and heir to Crown Prince Lombert. Cousin to Laeticia, he has known her and Albaird since they were children and also takes on the big brother role. Known for having a big heart, he also serves as commander in the Aucerian Navy. When it comes to internal politics, Theo is town between pledging his allegiance to his warmongering father or giving his support to the king and Laeticia.

Check out Theo’s trailer below.

J.J. is a powerful knight who made the decision to mechanize his entire body. Encountering Raymond and Laeticia as he attempts to protect his homeland, he quickly befriends them. Always calm, J.J. cares deeply for his comrades, and fights with a slender sword.

See J.J. in the trailer below.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be the sixth mainline installment of the Star Ocean series overall. Players will choose between protagonists Raymond and Laeticia, with each side showing unique insights. Raymond’s perception is more sci-fi focused while Laeticia’s story has more fantasy elements.

In August, fans got their first glimpse of Elena and Albaird Bergholm. Elena is a crewmember of the Ydas transport ship and the adjutant of the protagonist, Raymond. Managing to survive the ship’s demise, she is known for her calm personality and respect for Raymond as a leader. Aldbaired is Laeticia’s childhood friend and a knight in the Kingdom of Aucerius. Skilled at semiomancy and a master of wielding chakram, his left arm hides a mysterious secret, and while initially distant from the members of the Ydas crew, he will become a close friend as the game progresses.

Last week, the fourth Mission report showed off Marielle and Malkya. The former is the first officer of the Astoria, the Pangalactic Federation battleship shot down by the Ydas. Having graduated at the top of her class from the military academy, she doesn’t want to let her family down and is known for being a perfectionist. The highly intelligent Malkya is the leader of the Trathen, a race of beings inhabiting the southern continent of Nihlbeth. She’s also a useful party member as she can change her form at will.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on October 27, 2022.
